This was just horrible and didn't even feel like Konosuba one bit. I really, really did not like this movie and I watched this after watching all of Konosuba again. I know it's weird to be okay with that thing but not this but it just wasn't funny and was kinda just horrible. It didn't sit well with me and wasn't handled in the same way when he stole panties by using steal. Kazuma almost got raped by a gang of orc women and the show made it off as a joke. The show made it clear he was trash but never made him try to assault one of the girls or be assaulted as a joke. He did it a few times throughout the show though the major time he did it, and the first time, was to win the dual against Chris. Yes, Kazuma stole panties of girls but when watching it, I was never bothered by it I guess because of the way they did it. And there are other moments like this but I can't say I paid enough attention to even remember what they exactly were.Īlso, they make jokes about sexual assault several times. Aqua should have been the one to freak out over it. Why would Darkness be freaking out over this? She would be excited if anything, but she isn't. The dad doesn't seem bothered by it but you know who got freaked out over it? Kazuma and Darkness. At one point, when talking to Yoonyoon's dad, they are told that a large group of minions of the Devil King was coming to the village. There are also points in the movie where it seemed like the characters were doing things that didn't make a lot of sense for them. The right scene at the end was boring because they had this entire clan that could take down the general if needed to and there was hardly any focus on Megumin and Yoonyoon. But why? I thought it would have been much better had they not been great magic users, all the clan members didn't live in the same area, we focused more on Megumin's childhood and Yoonyoon, and we had more in the way for romance for Kazuma and Megumin. And it seems that they are the only people to have problems with money in the clan. Why don't they just go do guild work to get said money? It doesn't make much sense. Also, why is Megumin's parents poor if they both have magic, at least the mom does, and seem to be pretty good at it. But if the entire clan is just as powerful, why don't they go after the Demon King? Instead they don't seem to be doing anything about it. I thought that Wiz would be the same and she was incredibly powerful and thus she didn't need a staff since her power was so great. Most liches are powerful beings who use special dark magic unlike other magic users. So why does the entire Crimsion clan not use them? I get that Wiz doesn't use them but it made a bit of sense to me since she was a lich. except for Megumin? Aqua also uses a staff and other magic users use them as well. Why did all the users in the clan not have to use staves I hated how they made everyone just another Megumin in the clan and I have some questions for this movie. None of the jokes hit the same way as in the series and the story was just boring. The animation wasn't bad and the sound was pretty good, but the jokes and the story were good awful. I love Konosuba and think it's amazing and deserving of praise, but this movie was just awful. Namely, the troublemaking goddess, Aqua The wildly dorky mage, Megumin And the unrelentingly delusional lady knight, Darkness He ends up forming a party with these potentially powerful, but incredibly unfortunate individuals, which leads to deep debt, being tried for treason, slaying the Demon King's generals, and occasionally dying (again). This is a review from a big fan of Konosuba and I was really excited to finally watch this movie. 'I'm going to enjoy the life of an adventurer that I've always fantasized about from RPGs! Time to be the hero!' But in spite of his enthusiasm, only trouble was waiting for Kazuma. Crunchyroll officially describes Konosuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson as such, "A video game-loving shut-in, Satou Kazuma's life should've ended when he was hit by a truck, but through a twist in fate, he ends up reincarnating in another world-and dragging the goddess, Aqua, along with him.
